“He who, seeking his own happiness, torments with the rod creatures that are desirous of happiness, shall not obtain happiness hereafter.”

And so with unbearable longing, I cultivate the unbearable longing to become a Buddha.”
Blot out the most
vivid, shaded, parts of yourself.
Replace them with a name,
a thing of concrete description.
“No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.”
Hatred can come in many feelings
entangled with thoughts of unfairness.
Breathe into the abyss,
accepting all as it is.
Winter forests do not struggle
but the spring always comes back again.
Disciple of the great sage
Forever in peace he lived,
At one with the world.
